Alexander Lesko, MD, MBA, is the Executive Medical Director at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. They previously served as the Medical Director at the same organization and as Regional Medical Director for CenseoHealth, where they collaborated on quality initiatives and physician education. Alexander's diverse surgical experience includes serving as a combat trauma surgeon in the U.S. Navy, where they performed lifesaving surgeries during deployments, as well as practicing as a general surgeon and a solo practitioner. They hold a Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Warwick, and completed a General Surgery Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
