Maria Sorvisto has held significant leadership roles in local government, serving as Mayor of Ylivieskan kaupunki since August 2018. Prior to this role, Maria was engaged with Haapaveden kaupunki, where responsibilities included Chief Financial Officer, Deputy Mayor, and City Administrator from August 2009 to July 2018. Maria's earlier experience includes serving as a Lecturer of Law at Haapavesi Folk High School and as a Sales Assistant at Lappset Group Oy. Maria holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Lapland, obtained in June 2007.
