Simone Marrion has extensive experience in educational and community service roles, particularly with SolidGround from May 2001 to September 2013 as a WRC Supervisor, responsible for recruiting, hiring, and training 24-40 AmeriCorps members annually while overseeing early literacy programs in high-need schools. Previous roles include serving as a Volunteer Coordinator and School Community Liaison at SMART from July 1998 to July 1999, and as a School Librarian and ESL Instructor at Portland Public Schools from September 1999 to June 2001. Most recently, Simone works at Solid Ground as a Volunteer Coordinator and Annual Giving Specialist from April 2022 to June 2024. Academic credentials include education from the University of Washington between 2006 and 2008.
