William Robles is a Principal II Geoscientist at Rio Tinto, bringing over 30 years of experience in leading Greenfields and brownfields exploration programs in Chile and Argentina. Robles has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Universidad Católica del Norte, complemented by a post-graduate certification in Mining Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. They have been integral to significant discoveries, including Mantoverde South and the world-class Cu-Mo deposit in the Los Bronces District, and received the Thayer Lindsley Award for their contributions to the Sulfatos deposit. Previously, Robles has held leadership roles across various exploration initiatives at companies including Anglo American and Quantum Pacific Exploration Chile.
