Merete Konnerup is the Head of Department at Psykiatrifonden, where responsibilities include developing the knowledge base for the foundation's activities since August 2022. Prior roles include Project Manager and Senior Consultant at Københavns Professionshøjskole, focusing on research and development strategies (February 2019 - July 2022), and Head of Analysis at TrygFonden, overseeing research application management and the development of research centers (February 2011 - January 2019). Additionally, Merete established and led the Nordic Campbell Centre at VIVE, which garnered a permanent grant from the Danish parliament in 2018. Earlier experience includes key positions in the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs, the Secretariat of the Danish Economic Councils, Danmarks Nationalbank, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Merete holds a degree in econometrics from Aarhus University and research qualifications equivalent to a PhD from Copenhagen Business School.
