Martin Ellis is a Principal Data Science Manager at Microsoft, leading the Media Analytics data science team in the Intelligent Conversation and Communications Cloud (IC3) group. Previously, Martin worked as a Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist, focusing on call quality issues and applying machine learning techniques in real-time communications. Martin's background includes serving as a Software Engineer at Skype, where they developed testing infrastructure for video protocols, and as a Research Student at the University of Glasgow, exploring the impact of residential Internet links on streaming video performance. Martin holds a BSc (Hons) and a PhD in Computing Science from the University of Glasgow.
