Yousef Al-Kofahi, PhD, is a Principal Data Science Manager at Microsoft's AI Acceleration Studio, drawing on over 20 years of experience in academic and industrial settings. Previously, Yousef held roles such as Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist at Microsoft, leading advancements in applied machine learning and data science. Their career includes significant contributions as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they developed algorithms for biological image analysis and were a founding member of the FARSIGHT toolkit. Yousef has also served as a Principal Investigator at GE Research, focusing on healthcare and industrial applications of image analysis and machine learning. They hold a PhD in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Jami'at Al-Yarmouk.
