Sishir Rao

Interventional Radiologist

Sishir Rao, MD, currently serves as an Interventional Radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital and holds a clinical faculty position at Harvard Medical School since November 2022. Rao co-founded the Indian Heart Association in 2010 and has been a board member since then. As of October 2023, Rao holds the title of Chief of Interventional Radiology at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Previous experience includes roles as Interventional Radiologist and Director of Global Health and Community Outreach at Baylor College of Medicine, along with serving on the Executive Committee of the Massachusetts Radiological Society Resident Fellow Section. Rao's medical training includes a residency and fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, complemented by a Doctor of Medicine degree from Baylor College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences from Rice University.
