Philipp Robbel is the co-founder and CEO of Mapless AI, building the next generation of the trip economy. They previously served as Director of Product Safety and as Head of Safety and Validation at nuTonomy (2018–2020), and as Safety Lead - Software at Aptiv Autonomous Mobility (2018–2020). Earlier roles include Senior Research Engineer in Autonomous Driving at Bosch Research and Technology Center (2014–2016) and Visiting Researcher at Stanford University (2015). They earned an MSc in Artificial Intelligence, Informatics from the University of Edinburgh (2004–2005) and a Master’s Degree in Robotics (2005–2007) and a PhD in Robotics (2007–2012) from MIT.
