Sonia Manek is a seasoned financial services director with a robust background in regulatory and financial crime compliance, strategic transformation, and governance. They began their career as an Audit Supervisor at Deloitte & Touche M.E. before advancing to a Senior Associate role in Forensic at Deloitte Corporate Finance Limited. Sonia further honed their expertise at HSBC, serving in various leadership positions, including Senior Manager of Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance and Strategic Change Director. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting at the University of Wollongong and are also working towards becoming a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). In addition to their professional endeavors, Sonia is co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Chapter.
