Joana Chicau is a designer, lecturer, and PhD candidate currently researching the impact of data-tracking technologies on people. Joana integrates expertise in web programming and choreography to explore the intersection of the body with designed environments, aiming to enhance public access to digital sciences. As a research fellow at Connected by Data and associate lecturer at the UAL Creative Computing Institute, Joana contributes to discussions on digital equity, algorithmic improvisation, and collaborative coding events. Additionally, Joana's past experiences include roles at the REPLICA Institute and Tama Art University, focusing on creative coding and performance. Joana is also a passionate dancer, specializing in Tango.
