Lorena Hidalgo, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the field of biomedical engineering and flow cytometry, currently serving as a Senior Scientist in Medical and Scientific Affairs at BD since February 2021. In this role, Lorena designs and analyzes multi-color flow cytometry experiments, enhancing the performance of complex systems and contributing to product development. Prior experience includes leadership in reagent development at BD, and product development at BioLegend, where Lorena was involved in all stages of new technology development for flow cytometry. Lorena's extensive background also encompasses significant research work during postdoctoral studies at the University of California San Diego and graduate research at Cardiff University, where innovative health technologies and methodologies were developed. Academically, Lorena holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Cardiff University, along with multiple master's and bachelor's degrees in bioanalytical sciences and chemistry.
