Sahil Tapiawala is the Co-Founder and CEO of Atomionics, a venture capital-backed startup based in Singapore that focuses on developing quantum sensors for navigation and resource exploration, utilizing atom interferometry techniques. Prior to founding Atomionics in January 2018, Sahil held the position of Entrepreneur In Residence at Entrepreneurs First and worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at Singapore University of Technology and Design, collaborating with Dr. Pablo Valdivia y Alvarado. Earlier research experience includes a role as a Research Assistant at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, focusing on classification using single hidden-layer feedforward networks, as well as original research on bimetallic nanostructures at the National Chemical Laboratory. Sahil holds both a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) (Hons) and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Chemistry from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
