Daniel Swanbeck has been working in the engineering field since 2009. Daniel began their career as a Mechanical Engineer and Machinist Intern at DP Products. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Elephant Racing LLC, where they designed, modeled and prototyped performance suspension/cooling components and systems for street and race Porsche vehicles. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at IPG Photonics as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they were the project lead for a team of engineers on multi-wavelength laser design and release. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at NIO, managing tier 1 suppliers in product definition, design and release to production. From 2017 to 2020, they were the Engineering Manager, Prototype Vehicles at SF Motors Inc, leading a team of engineers and technicians through research, technical design, implementation, testing and the build of high level prototype vehicles. Currently, they are a Principle Mechanical Design Engineer at Atomic Machines.
Daniel Swanbeck obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Design from San Jose State University in 2011. Prior to that, they studied Mechanical Engineering at Evergreen Valley College from 2005 to 2009.
