We operate presently in two business units. Both business units focus on different strategies.

The 5D Biolab division focuses on scientific testing and offers world-leading testing services in the areas of antimicrobial efficacy testing, biofilms, antibiofilm testing, antibiotic testing, microbiology, biomaterials, cellular and tissue regeneration and infection control.

The 5D Bioscience business unit focuses on innovation and R&D with a clear strategy centred on the innovation of new antimicrobials, antibiofilm technologies, new biomaterials and diagnostics. 

As a global leading Centre of Excellence in Biofilm Science (CEBS) 5D offer expert scientific support in the areas of biofilm science, microbiology, antimicrobials, biomaterials, tissue regeneration, medical devices and infection control. 5D has a global team of PhD experts that have proficiencies across many industry sectors including healthcare, public health, medical devices, academia, dentistry, water and veterinary medicine. 5D support the long-term success of companies by combining our medical device R&D expertise and knowledge with our customers. As an outsourced R&D and microbiology testing company we exist as an adjunct to our customers own R&D departments.

They provide expert scientific support and function as an extension of the clients' R&D departments to ensure long-term success in various industry sectors.

Science and Research

The Leadership Team at 5D Health Protection Group Ltd is responsible for steering the company's strategic vision, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining scientific and regulatory standards. This team comprises the Chief Executive Officer, who sets the overarching direction and goals; the Operations Manager & Principal Microbiologist, who oversees daily operations and ensures the quality of microbiological testing; and the Principal Scientist, who leads scientific research and innovation initiatives.
