Jennifer Rentas was appointed Chief of Staff to the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer in February 2026.

In her role, Ms. Rentas serves as a strategic advisor to the CEO, ensuring strong stewardship of enterprise-wide priorities. She oversees executive alignment, supports engagement with the Board of Directors, and helps drive the company’s most critical cross-functional initiatives with urgency, discipline, and a focus on impact.

Prior to joining Zimmer Biomet, she served as Chief Operating Officer of the Trust for Governors Island. Previously, she spent more than a decade at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS), ultimately serving as Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff where she partnered closely with the President and CEO and the Board of Trustees to advance institutional strategy and oversaw major operational and strategic initiatives. Ms. Rentas’s earlier roles at HSS included leading regional markets and managing the execution of key collaborations, including the hospital’s partnership with Stamford Hospital.

In 2020, Ms. Rentas served as Assistant Secretary for Health in the Office of the Governor of New York State. Earlier in her career, she held policy and operational roles at the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, New York-Presbyterian Hospital, and Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

Ms. Rentas holds an AB (Bachelor of Arts) degree in Social Studies from Harvard College, a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
