Steve Higgins is the Head of UX Research for YouTube Search, Learning, & AI, where they focus on enhancing user experience through advanced research techniques. Previously, Steve served as a UX Research Manager at Google, leading efforts to develop user-friendly GenAI and LLM products. They have extensive experience in UX research and human factors, having held roles at various organizations, including the U.S. Department of Transportation and NIO, where they oversaw product development for advanced driving assistance systems. In academia, Steve contributed as an adjunct faculty member at multiple universities and conducted research in experimental psychology. Steve is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds a BA in Psychology and Neuroscience from Temple University.
