Stara Ahmidouch is the Head of Language Services Branch at the World Trade Organization since March 2019, where innovation in translation is driven by the integration of AI, LLMs, NLP, ML, and business process automation, alongside the development of new language services. Prior to this role, Stara served as Chief of Staff at the Inter-Parliamentary Union from March 2006 to February 2019, leading the Secretary General's Office and providing strategic support to senior leadership. Stara also held positions as Head of Language Services and as an English Translator/Reviser, managing translation teams and processing complex political and legal texts. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from the University of Geneva and advanced studies in AI from MIT Sloan CSAIL, along with coaching training from IDC Institut de Coaching SA.
