Jonathan S. Bell serves as the Senior Vice President for Global Preservation Strategy and Director of the SDB Institute at the World Monuments Fund since March 2020. Bell's role involves curating and managing international heritage preservation projects while leading a global team of project managers in sustainable development efforts. Previous experience includes directing the Human Journey Initiative at National Geographic and serving as a Management Specialist for the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, where Bell focused on regional governance and resource management. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Urban Planning from UCLA and an M.Sc. in Historic Preservation from Columbia University.
