Carmen Casado serves as the Global Data Protection Officer and Director of the Global Privacy Office at the World Food Programme, where responsibilities include developing a comprehensive Privacy and Data Protection Program for the organization operating in over 120 countries. In addition to this role, Carmen is a Professor at UIC Barcelona and the University of Salamanca, teaching in Master's programs related to Business Intelligence, Big Data, Digital Law, and Information Technologies. Prior experience includes serving as the EU Regional Data Protection Senior Manager and Iberian DPO for Amgen SA, where oversight of Data Protection compliance was provided for 10 Southern EU countries, and working as a Senior Associate Lawyer at JAUSAS, specializing in IT Law and Data Privacy. Carmen holds an LLM in Computer & Communication Law from Queen Mary University of London, alongside multiple diplomas from the Barcelona Bar Association in Legal Practice, Corporate Law, and Administrative Law.
