Karin Shepardson is a Lead Environmental Specialist at The World Bank, focusing on the Middle East and North Africa. With extensive experience in international development, they have managed multi-billion dollar programs and spearheaded initiatives related to air quality, waste management, and environmental frameworks. Karin holds a Master’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business and Environmental Studies from Macalester College. Prior roles include Senior Engineer at Metcalf & Eddy and various leadership positions within the World Bank Group, where they contributed significantly to sustainable development and environmental policy initiatives.
