TJ Rains, PhD, is a higher education information technology leader with extensive experience in strategic planning and operational management. From 2015 to 2024, they served as Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Lindenwood University, where they managed IT budget planning and vendor relations. Prior to this, TJ worked in various roles, including Associate CIO at Emporia State University and Vice President of Information Services at Cardinal Stritch University. Currently, they hold the position of Managing Director, Higher Education at Workday and are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Leadership at Indiana Wesleyan University.
