Jay Townsend is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience, having served as a retired executive officer at Celanese Corporation from 1986 to 2014. Jay acted as an advisor and investor at Onex from 2016 to 2019, and held the position of interim chief executive officer at WireCo WorldGroup in 2019. Currently, Jay is the lead independent director on the board and executive committee of WireCo World Group. Jay earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business & Finance, magna cum laude, from Widener University and is pursuing executive education in chemistry at Duke University, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.
