Abiodun Adebayo, PhD, FAS, FAAS, is an accomplished Professor of Biochemistry and a higher education leader who currently serves as a council member and trustee for the Association of Commonwealth Universities. As the 5th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Covenant University, Abiodun previously held roles such as Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies and Chair of various university boards. They have been recognized as a Fellow of both the Nigerian Academy of Science and the African Academy of Sciences and have specialized in plant biochemistry, particularly focusing on the sustainable use of indigenous medicinal plants. With extensive publications and numerous awards, Abiodun has also been actively involved in university accreditation processes and has served as a speaker at international conferences.
