Mike Schenck's work experience includes roles at various organizations. Mike started their career in 1987 as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. In 1992, they worked as a Loan Officer at American General Finance for a brief period. From 1993 to 1995, they served as a Loan Officer at U.S. Bank. In 1995, they joined Westmark Credit Union as the Senior VP of Lending, a position they held until 2021. At the same organization, they then became the Chief Lending Officer in January 2021.

Mike Schenck earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Idaho in the years 1987 to 1992. Mike later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Idaho State University, which they completed from 2000 to 2003.
