Frank Yang is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property and patent law. They began their career as a Platform Engineer at AMD from 2002 to 2006 and later served as a Summer Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright in 2007. From 2010 to 2018, Frank held the position of Senior Patent Associate at Fenwick & West, where they focused on drafting patent applications and supporting patent litigation. They currently work as Senior Patent Counsel at Western Digital, having joined the company in 2025, while managing patent portfolios at Applied Materials from 2018 to 2025. Frank earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from New York University and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park.
