The mission of the West Suburban Special Recreation Association is to provide superior recreation services for persons with disabilities.

The West Suburban Special Recreation Association is formed by 9 park districts and 2 villages who work together to serve the recreation needs of their residents who have disabilities.Through WSSRA, residents of all ages can participate in year round programming specifically designed to meet their individual needs. Residents of partner communities who have a disability or handicapping condition are eligible for WSSRA services. Services are available for preschoolers, school aged children, teens, young adults and senior citizens that live in the following partner communities:

The Recreation Team at the West Suburban Special Recreation Association is responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing a variety of recreational programs tailored to individuals with disabilities. They facilitate inclusive activities that cater to the unique needs of participants of all ages, ensuring enjoyable and enriching experiences for residents across the 9 park districts and 2 villages that the association serves.

Recreation Team

The Management Team at the West Suburban Special Recreation Association oversees the strategic planning and operational execution of recreational services designed for persons with disabilities. Led by the Executive Director, the team includes roles like Marketing Manager and Program Manager that focus on promoting services and developing tailored programs, while the Staff Manager ensures the efficient administration and support for all team members. Together, they work to provide inclusive and high-quality recreational opportunities across partner communities.
