C. Thomas Payne is an Assistant General Counsel and Vice President at Wells Fargo, where they provide legal advice and support on various transactional documents and compliance matters. They previously served as Senior Counsel at Wells Fargo from 2018 to 2022 and as Legal Director at LexisNexis Risk Solutions from 1997 to 2004, leading legal teams and overseeing compliance and contract negotiations. With a two-decade career as a Commissioned Officer in the US Army, they have also worked as an Attorney Consultant at Payne Consulting and held senior legal positions at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, managing complex global contracts. Payne holds a J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and training in Russian from the Defense Language Institute.
