Elizabeth Chmelik, MD, FAAFP, SFHM, serves as the Regional Medical Director at WellMed Medical Management, holding multiple leadership roles since March 2012, including Chief of Enterprise Hospitalist Services and Associate Chief of Medical Affairs for Greater Texas. With an extensive background in medical education as an Assistant Professor at Texas A&M Health Science Center and the University of Florida College of Medicine, Elizabeth has also served in various capacities in hospital medicine and medical management at Scott & White Healthcare and the University of Florida. Elizabeth Chmelik holds a Medical Doctor degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and a Masters of Public Affairs in Health Care Policy from The LBJ School of Public Affairs, along with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Florida. Additionally, Elizabeth participated on the Board of Directors for the Florida Academy of Family Physicians from 2003 to 2007.
