Paul K. Pernerewski, Jr. is the current Mayor of Waterbury, having assumed office in 2023. They previously served as the President of the Board of Aldermen from 2009 to 2023 and have been an active member of the City of Waterbury since 2002. Additionally, Paul has held the position of General Counsel for the Connecticut Airport Authority from 2013 to 2023 and worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Connecticut from 1986 to 2013. Paul earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in Business Administration and Management from The University of Connecticut.
