Takamichi Sakurai is a Senior Research Fellow at Keio University, Japan, specializing in social and political theory, with a focus on critical theory and intellectual history. Currently, they serve as the co-editor-in-chief of the journal Comparative Political Theory and co-editor of the Routledge book series Political Theorists beyond the Canon, while also being a member of the Advisory Council for the Association for Global Political Thought at Harvard University. Takamichi's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Political Theory from Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and participation in the PhD Programme in Media and Governance at Keio University. They have previously held positions as a lecturer at various institutions, including Goethe University and University Hospital Heidelberg.
