Afroza Ali is currently the Director of Data Science, Personalization at Walmart, where they lead a group of applied ML scientists focused on building large-scale solutions. Previously, they held multiple roles at Walmart, including Senior Machine Learning Engineer and Principal Data Scientist/Senior Engineering Manager, from 2013 to 2016. Afroza also worked as a Software Engineer at Yahoo! from 2011 to 2012. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Pune and a Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Iowa.
