Salvatore Cortese, Jr. has extensive experience in facilities management, beginning with a role as Facilities Manager and Project Manager at J&M Manufacturing from February 1998 to March 2000, where responsibilities included overseeing maintenance operations, managing shipping and receiving departments, and ensuring safety compliance. Following this, Salvatore served as Site Services Supervisor at JDS Uniphase from March 2000 to July 2003, managing overall building operations. Since March 2002, Salvatore has been the Area Facilities Manager for Wake County Public Schools, overseeing more than 1 million square feet of school facilities. Salvatore holds a high school diploma with a focus in Business Administration and Management from South Windsor High School, earned between 1970 and 1974.
