Danfang Chen is currently the Chief Engineer for Battery Cell Manufacturing Process at Volvo Group, where they focus on strategy, site planning, and technical details. Previously, they served as Manufacturing Technology Manager overseeing powertrain and battery production at Volvo Group Trucks Operations from 2015 to 2020. Danfang also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at KTH, engaging in factory planning and sustainable industry initiatives between 2012 and 2014. In addition to their industry roles, they have been an Associate Professor in manufacturing technology at Chalmers University since 2017, emphasizing sustainability and manufacturing technologies. Danfang holds both a Master of Science in Engineering and a Ph.D. from KTH.
