Scott Nakada is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in DevOps, software development, and electrical engineering. Currently serving as a Kubernetes Platform DevOps at Viasat Inc. since September 2019, Scott has developed and deployed infrastructure for multiple Kubernetes clusters and created a Kubernetes Controller Framework in Python. Prior to Viasat, Scott held multiple roles at Sony from 2016 to 2019, including DevOps Engineer and Mid-Level Software Engineer, where significant contributions included zero downtime migration to AWS and developing a continuous integration system. Earlier experiences encompass engineering positions at Quickstart Prototypes, Knuckle Dragger Design, Illumina, Hewlett-Packard, NYMA, FileTek, Cray Communications, and altek corp, focused on systems programming, product development, and electronics design, showcasing a career of innovation and technical expertise. Scott holds a BSEE in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
