Brian Hockensmith is an established engineering leader with extensive experience in power systems and product development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering and Program Management for the IT Systems Business Unit at Vertiv since April 2017, Brian oversees engineering efforts across five global product lines, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). Prior roles at Vertiv include Director and Engineering Manager for the Single Phase UPS product line, where Brian provided critical technical leadership. Previous experience includes serving as Principal Engineer at Hughey and Phillips, and Senior Electrical Engineer at STAR Dynamics Corporation, among other positions in various engineering capacities. Brian holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
