Keval Chandarana MBBS PhD is an experienced medical professional with a focus on diabetes and cystic fibrosis. As the Executive Medical Director and Global Medical Lead for Type 1 Diabetes at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since March 2019, Keval oversees global medical affairs for islet cell therapies, including VX-880 and VX-264. Previously, in roles such as Senior Medical Director and Medical Director for Global Medical Affairs Strategy at Vertex, Keval significantly contributed to the cystic fibrosis portfolio. Prior experience at Novo Nordisk included positions as Associate Medical Director, Global Medical Advisor, and International Medical Manager, where Keval managed diabetes products and safety surveillance.
