Oliver Baltzer is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in high-performance computing and technology leadership. Currently serving as Vice President and Director of Technology at Verisk since November 2016, Oliver has also held the position of Adjunct Professor at Dalhousie University since July 2012. Prior roles include Vice President and Director of Technology at Analyze Re from 2013 until its acquisition by Verisk in January 2022, and Chief Architect of Computational Analytics at Flagstone Reinsurance Holdings Ltd. from September 2007 to June 2013. Oliver's earlier experience includes positions as a Software Developer at Arc-9 Interactive and various software engineering roles at Dalhousie University. Oliver holds a PhD in Computer Science from Dalhousie University, an MSc in High-Performance Computing from the University of Reading, and a Dipl.-Ing. in Computer Engineering from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin.
