Emily Backus is an accomplished professional in sustainability, currently serving as the Sustainability Director for North America at Vantage Data Centers since April 2023. Previously, Emily held the position of Commitment to Zero Program Manager at Vail Resorts from January 2020 to March 2023. Additionally, Emily worked as a Sustainability Advisor for the City and County of Denver from May 2014 to January 2020 and as a Senior Consultant in Environmental Sustainability Solutions at Hitachi Consulting from January 2013 to May 2014, following the merger of PRIZIM Inc. with Hitachi Consulting. Emily began her career at PRIZIM, Inc. as a Consultant from July 2009 to January 2013, and prior experience includes serving as a Regional Environmental Coordinator at Aramark Parks and Destinations and as a Human Resources and Payroll Assistant at The Statler Hotel. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from Cornell University, earned between 2004 and 2008.
