Joel Freire Júnior is a Senior Civil Engineer with over twenty-two years of experience in civil construction, specializing in project and contract management. They have worked on large-scale projects with high structural complexity, and have extensive expertise in facility management, resource planning, and contract compliance. Currently, they oversee significant contracts at Vale, managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards. Joel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and advanced degrees in Civil Construction and Petroleum Engineering. They are also Lean Six Sigma certified and an active member of the Order of Engineers of Portugal.
