Makeda Smith is a Marketing Manager at Urban Bush Women since December 2018, where also served as an Administrative Associate. Previously, Makeda held the position of Director of Digital Media at Black Dance Stories from January 2021 to July 2022, and worked as Media Director/Assistant at Luxury x Elegance x Allure, LC from April 2018 to October 2020. Makeda's experience includes serving as Director of Media & Engagement at ColemanCollective from June 2017 to June 2019, and taking roles in sales and membership at Orangetheory Fitness between July 2017 and December 2018. Earlier in the career, Makeda was an Assistant Department Manager at Nordstrom and a Technical Support Coordinator at Capital One Bank. Makeda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and Choreography from Temple University and a CFA Completion Certificate in Visual and Performing Arts from Henrico High School.
