Zhiyuan Li

PHD Candidate

Zhiyuan (Thomas) Li is a doctoral candidate in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Houston, with extensive experience in research and practical applications within the field. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant, Zhiyuan focuses on Enhanced Gas Recovery and Blue Hydrogen projects, employing advanced simulation techniques for CO2 injection in gas reservoirs. Previous roles include a reservoir engineering internship at Berry Corporation, where gas injection strategies for enhanced oil recovery were evaluated, and a summer internship at the University of Houston Center for Carbon Management in Energy, which involved a comprehensive CCS infrastructure study for the Houston area.
