Dr. Adam Welstead is a seasoned professional in student wellbeing, currently serving as the Head of Student Wellbeing at the University of Cambridge since May 2022 and as a Governing Body Fellow at Wolfson College since February 2023. Prior to these roles, Dr. Welstead held various positions at the University of St Andrews from July 2013 to February 2022, including Assistant Director of Student Services, Head of the University Counselling Service, and Assistant Director of the Theoria Interdisciplinary Research Forum. Dr. Welstead's academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master of Letters (MLitt) with Distinction from the University of St Andrews, as well as postgraduate diplomas and certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Queen Margaret University. An undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Arts (BA) with First Class Honours was earned at Maynooth University.
