Our mission is to put coaching at the heart of physical activity and sport.

Coaching is in our DNA. For more than 30 years, alongside our partners, we have provided the coaching workforce with the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive difference. We’ve also supported our partners to do the same.

We’re now widening our scope to do this on a broader scale. How? By adopting a wider definition of coaching and extending our reach into new markets where great coaching makes a difference every day.

We’re here to:

* Raise the profile of coaching so that it is recognised for the wider benefits it brings to society and individuals.
* Help our partners create coaching systems to deliver a fit for purpose workforce that better reflects society.
* Make coaching easier to get into and stay involved in.
* Supply the coaching workforce with the information they need to be participant focused.
* Be a hub of research excellence for coaching
* Help coaches feel better connected, more knowledgeable and confident.
* Be central to the sport and physical activity landscape. We’ll run an effective and efficient organisation.
* Encourage technology to enable coaches and coaching.

In England, we support National Governing Bodies of Sport and County Sports Partnerships as well as many other organisations across the sport and physical activity landscape.

In Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, we work with the three Home Country Sports Councils.

Executive Leadership

The Coaching and Tutoring Team at UK Coaching is responsible for delivering high-quality training and development programs to coaches across the UK, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to make a positive impact. The team collaborates with partners to create effective coaching systems, promote best practices, and integrate equity into coaching. They also focus on safeguarding, coach education, and providing resources to keep coaches well-informed and confident in their roles. Through their expertise, they elevate the standard of coaching, supporting the broader mission of enhancing the physical activity and sport landscape.

Coaching and Tutoring Team

The Management Team at UK Coaching oversees the strategic and operational direction of the organization to ensure that it fulfils its mission of placing coaching at the heart of physical activity and sport. Comprised of key roles such as Digital Development, Governance, IT Service Security, Equity and Inclusion, People Experience, Partnership Development, and Operations, the team collaborates to innovate, uphold governance standards, manage risks, enhance digital capabilities, foster diversity, and ensure smooth operations to better serve both coaches and partners across the UK's sport and physical activity landscape.

Management Team

The Marketing and Communications team at UK Coaching is responsible for enhancing the profile of coaching and promoting its benefits to society and individuals. They create and manage digital content, social media strategies, and marketing campaigns to engage target audiences and support the company's mission. This team also collaborates with partners to develop effective coaching systems and ensures that information is accessible, aiding in the recruitment and retention of coaches. Ultimately, they contribute to UK Coaching's goal of embedding coaching into the fabric of physical activity and sports across the UK.
