Joeri Nicolaes is a Research Fellow at KU Leuven since August 2018, specializing in medical image analysis within the ESAT PSI MIRC lab. Nicolaes has also been a Computer Scientist at UCB since November 2014, focusing on developing deep learning algorithms for computer vision. In parallel, Nicolaes serves as an Enterprise Architect at SK Laar and has experience coaching U11 soccer. Previously, Nicolaes held multiple roles at Siemens Enterprise Communications, including Head of Consulting & Design Belgium, managing professional services, and has worked as a Project Engineer at Altran Europe and an intern at Agfa Gevaert NV. Nicolaes holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from KU Leuven and has participated in various educational programs, including a recent course at Harvard Medical School.
