Joshua Brinkerhoff P.Eng. is an Associate Professor at The University of British Columbia, where they lead research and teaching in mechanical and aerospace engineering, particularly in fluid mechanics and computational fluid dynamics. Their professional journey includes serving as an Assistant Professor at UBC Okanagan from 2014 to 2021, where they focused on shear-layer instability and turbulence. Joshua's extensive research experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Carleton University, where they specialized in laminar-to-turbulent transition, and as a co-op student at the National Research Council Canada, where they developed a flight control system. They are currently spearheading the UBC-Okanagan Computational Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, aimed at addressing critical industrial, agricultural, and environmental challenges.
