Suma Muralidhar, PhD, serves as the Acting Deputy Chief Research and Development Officer for Enterprise Optimization at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. They have served as a Program Director for the Million Veteran Program and as a Senior Scientific Program Manager in the Genomic Medicine Program. Previously, Suma worked as a Liaison for the White House Precision Medicine Initiative and as a Health and Science Policy Advisor for the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee. Suma holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Maryland College Park and an M.S. in Genetics from Bangalore University, both of which they are currently pursuing.
