Yoppy Lie has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They started their career as a Computer Operator at Marina del Rey Hotel in 1985 and worked there for a year. In 1986, they moved on to Computerland, where they served as a Service Manager for six years. Yoppy then joined Turner Techtronics, Inc. in 1992 as a Part Inventory Manager, a position they currently hold.

Yoppy Lie pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Northrop University, from 1979 to 1983. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to enroll at UCLA for a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which they obtained from 1983 to 1985.
