Rachel Strauch-Nelson is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in strategic communications and media management. Currently serving as Media Manager and Media & Reputation Consultant at TruStage since November 2019, Rachel develops integrated media strategies to promote financial accessibility. Previously, as Media and Government Relations Director for the Madison Metropolitan School District from October 2011 to November 2019, Rachel crafted the district's media strategy, led the communication team, and managed crisis communications. Rachel also held the position of Communications Director in the Mayor's Office of the City of Madison from June 2008 to April 2011, where responsibilities included executing communications strategies for key city initiatives and managing crisis communications. Earlier experience includes serving as Communications Director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, where Rachel developed a statewide communications plan. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Mass Communications and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
