Carlissa Carson is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as Staff Judge Advocate and Lieutenant Colonel at the 117th Air Refueling Wing of the US Air Force - Air National Guard since March 2012. With a diverse background in law, Carlissa has held significant roles such as Senior Fellow at the Truman National Security Project, and Sr. Staff Attorney at Emory University School of Law, where management of the Emory Law Veterans Clinic took place. Additionally, Carlissa served as District Counsel for the U.S. Small Business Administration, Associate Attorney at Stokes Lazarus & Carmichael LLP and Freeman Mathis & Gary, and held positions in the Army Reserve's JAG Corps. Educational qualifications include an LL.M with distinction in International Law and International Human Rights from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Doctor of Law degree from Emory University School of Law.
